Albert Edward Hughes

The Rt Rev Albert Edward Hughes (13 February 1878 – 11 May 1954[1]) was Bishop of Kilmore, Elphin and Ardagh from 1939 to 1950.
Educated at Trinity College, Dublin,[2] he was an Inspector of Education for the Diocese of Dublin, Rector of Rathfarnham[3] and then Christ Church Leeson Park [4] before elevation to the Episcopate as the 10th Bishop of the United Diocese.
